Trine Opsahl

Trine Opsahl komponerer musik og spiller keltisk harpe. Hun udgiver sin musik på eget pladeforlag “Heart to Heart Records”. Hun er Danmarks første harpeterapeut og arbejder på to hospicer, hvor hun spiller harpe for terminalt syge og deres pårørende. Trine er Certified Therapeutic Harp Practitioner (CTHP).

Trines seneste album “Add Colours to my Sunset Sky” er netop udkommet i maj 2017. På dette album blander Trine for første gang soloharpe med sang og monochord. Trine skriver om det:

“We are all travelers on this road called life and as we walk along we add colours to each other’s lives. I am deeply grateful for every colour that has been added to my own life through the meeting of so many beautiful souls I feel a deep gratitude to all the dying, who have trusted me by letting me travel alongside them for a while and allowing the spirit of my music to guide their souls’ journey. Together we searched for and found that sacred space inside and between us. A sacred space so vibrant, so soft and flowing with loving kindness.”

Det forrige album “Unbroken Dreams” blev i februar 2017 nomineret til en ZMR Music Award i USA. “Unbroken Dreams” er et harpe/cello-album udgivet sammen med cellist Josefine Opsahl. Albummet indeholder en perlerække af 13 smukke, melodiske og opløftende stykker, alle komponeret af Trine og med livfulde og innovative cellostemmer af Josefine. Musikken bevæger sig med sine referencer til nordisk-keltisk folkemusik i krydsfeltet mellem klassisk musik og folkemusik, mellem world og legende improvisation, der resulterer i et unikt og nutidigt udtryk.

“Unbroken Dreams” har i januar og februar 2015 været nr. 1 på ZMR’s Top 100 Airplay Chart.

Josefine Opsahl studerer cello på Det Kgl. Danske Musikkonservatorium. Hun er en alsidig, klassisk cellist med flair for folkemusik og avantgarde. Hun spiller i det progressive folkemusikband Kottos og er en del af det banebrydende klangkollektiv We like We, der optrådte på dette års Roskilde-festival. Læs mere på hendes hjemmeside. “Unbroken Dreams” er indspillet i koncertalen på Det Danske Musik Konservatorium i København og er mixet og masteret af tonemester Franziska Wackerhagen. Lyt til eksempler på musikken og bestil albummet.

Trines seneste solo-album “Somewhere in a Hidden Memory” blev i 2013 nomineret til ZMR awards i to kategorier: “Best Instrumental Album – Acoustic” og “Best Relaxation/Meditation Album”. Bill Binkelmann fra Zone Music Reporter skrev om “Somewhere in a Hidden Memory”:

There is something magical and inherently soothing about harp music, especially when it’s played by Trine Opsahl. Her newest release (her third) is titled Somewhere in a Hidden Memory and it contains fifteen compositions for solo Celtic harp penned and performed by Opsahl, all of which are lovely beyond description. Some tracks are serene and introspective, while others have a gently laughing effervescence, but all the music is warm and engaging and Opsahl’s mastery of the harp is evidenced throughout. Her playing is emotionally nuanced, technically flawless, and distills to the essence of the Celtic harp’s unique musical beauty.”

Trine spiller koncerter, ved kirkelige handlinger, til bryllup, fest, receptioner og firma-arrangementer – enten solo eller i harpe/cello-duo med Josefine Opsahl. Trine optræder sammen med skuespiller og fortæller Ellen Dahl Bang med forestillingerne “Frans af Assisi”, “True Thomas” og “Legenden om juleroserne”.
